Per the owner: We have been going to the Marriott Maui Ocean Club for at
least 12 years staying in Ocean View and Ocean Front Suites. The Ocean
Front suites offer so much more that we have never considered buying
anything except ocean front. Some of the special benefits for the Ocean
Front Villas are:
1. The Beachfront villas have an unobstructed 180-degree view of the
ocean, Lanai and Molokai Islands including a fantastic bird’s eye view of
whales making their way through the Auau Channel during the whale
watching season, November to May. The Auau Channel between Maui, Lanai
and Molokai Islands is among the best whale watching areas in the world.
2. In addition to the fantastic view, the Beach Front suites have
convenient access to the ocean, pool areas, grassy areas, and beach
services. Just a walk down the steps and less than 100 feet to the beach
and pool areas. 3. The Ocean Front villas appear to hold their values
better than Ocean View, Island View, or Garden View villas. They
generally bring higher sale and rental prices. 4. Some other things we
especially love about our Marriott Maui Ocean Club time share include but
not limited to: * Floor to ceiling windows * Full length balcony along
the windows * Located on widest part of the magnificent Kaanapali Beach

Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
