Wake up every morning to overlook the most beautiful bay in St. Lucia!! Very laid back small resort up on a hill. But don't worry, there is a funicular that takes you up and down. Small pool with sun bathing decks tucked away among the tropical plants. Unit has large living room with kitchen which opens to a very large balcony where you can enjoy your breakfast coffee. Mid-level is the full bath with a shower. Downstairs is a large bedroom with vanity and large closet which opens up to another large balcony. Air conditioning is an extra charge which is an option. There is a good breeze coming off the bay when you open the doors and windows! Dive shops will pick you up at the dock. Several restaurants around the bay to choose from. Also the resort will grocery shop for you before you arrive and place it in your unit. Closing fees are $500. I have enjoyed the fact that the week is flexible. You can book 42 weeks out. One year you can use during high season...November-May and the next you use during low season June-October. So you are not stuck with having to go the same time every year. You can also join RCI and bank your week so you can travel to other areas of the world. One year we went to St. Lucia and used the week we had banked to go to Martinique which was a short plane trip! There is no television so you have to UNPLUG for a week!!! Actually rest and communicate. There is Internet that has greatly improved since they added signal boosters. There is no charge for Internet.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
