The Riverside Suites building was designed in 1928 by one of San Antonio's leading architects and builders, Atlee B. Ayers. The distinguished exterior is preserved by the San Antonio Historic district, including a series of large oval windows on the second floor. In cooperation with the Historic District, the seven stories of this magnificent structure have been gutted, just leaving the historic facade intact and restored. All units have exposed beams and polished concrete floors, only the bedrooms having carpet. The location was ideal. Being on the Riverwalk, Riverside Suites is conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, the Alamo, and all the charm of the Alamo City. The beautiful Christmas lights and Christmas float parade can be seen out a window or in just a few steps you can be amidst the charm and history that makes San Antonio one of America's most loved cities. The white, horse-drawn carriages transported us back to another time.We are a sports family and have enjoyed golf at the Quarry Golf Course and La Cantera, two semi-private championship courses, as well as watching the Spurs (San Antonio men's professional basketball team) and the rodeo at Frost Bank Center. Our grandchildren delight in attending Sea World and Fiesta Six Flags Over Texas. Two historic theaters and the new Tobin Center offer a variety of entertainment from the San Antonio Symphony and Broadway Plays to concerts by popular music stars. With all of these positives, it was the spacious 2-bedroom lock-off that convinced us that Riverside Suites in San Antonio was where we wanted to host our annal family gatherings. The Riverwalk really does have magic--our son proposed to our future daughter-in-law here.*Closing costs and transfer fees are to be paid by the buyer**Buyer to pay maintenance fees for first year of usage*

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
