On February 27, 2025, Westgate Resorts signed an agreement to acquire Bellevue, Washington-based Vacation Ownership Sales (VOS), which has rights to the sales, marketing, and management systems of VI Resorts, North America’s largest owner-controlled timeshare and vacation club.
Westgate Resorts Acquires VOS: Resort Portfolio Expansion
The new acquisition will allow Westgate Resorts to resume management of VI Resorts. VI Resorts upholds a portfolio of over 40 domestic and international resorts. With this, Westgate’s resort portfolio will increase from 22 resorts to more than 60, making it their most significant expansion of resorts in its more than 40 years of history.
Westgate continues to prioritize enhancing vacation experiences while fostering company growth.

With this new agreement, Westgate owners can broaden their travel options by exchanging their ownership for stays at VI Resorts. They can now explore sought-after vacation destinations like Hawaii, Mexico, and Canada. In addition, VI Resorts owners can trade to stay at Westgate properties through their Interval International memberships.
