The air is filled with a floral scent and the sounds of birds singing. The most frequently heard birds are the colorful roosters. They are everywhere!The Point at Poi Pu is in a quiet neighborhood just a quick walk from Poi Pu beach where you can see endangered monk seals and sea turtles resting on the beach. The beach also has great snorkeling.The resort has beautiful gardens with a wonderful swimming pool, hot tubs and a snack bar.Another short walk takes you along a paved path where you can enjoy the native trees and flowers. Or you can follow the shore line to an overlook called Shipwreck Point. Easy day excursions we have loved; Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Port Allen where you can book a catamaran trip along the Nepali Coast, Tour and tasting at Kauai Coffee plantation, the luau at Gaylord's is a must. There are a number of great restaurant options nearby.
