We visited Maui 19 years ago and instantly fell in love with the island!
If you’ve never been to Maui, this island is truly awesome. It has a pace
of life between the hustle bustle of Oahu and the serenity of Kauai.
There is a Costco very close to the airport where we make our main food
run upon arrival and do our rental car fuel fill up before leaving. It is
in close proximity to McDonalds and a great sushi restaurant across the
street. A Safeway and other food markets are minutes away. The main road
to Lahaina and to other parts of the island is less than 2 blocks away.
As a timeshare owner, this property is in a great location between
Kapalua and Lahaina/Kaanapali. The resort sits right on the beach, and
the property is really great about making sure the owners are put in the
oceanfront rooms with spectacular views of sunsets/sunrises. There's
oceanfront views of Lanai and Molokai. Additionally, the area is popular
for the giant turtles, and it is a joy watching them from the balcony as
they swim past underneath the water’s surface – mostly unbeknownst to
people in floaties above them!
Lastly, the annual maintenance fees have been kept reasonable over the
years we have been owners and have always fit our budget. The staff is
very courteous and helpful. There are no extra resort fees, and parking
is free. We are only selling this timeshare because we currently have
usage for both even and odd years but deeded separately. We are hoping to
purchase another timeshare on the East Coast.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
