Per the owner: Our first eval many years ago was trading with Interval
International. It has an excellent exchange with II, even though it is a
studio. It has great point trading power. We looked at what was hot at
the time: Hawaii #1, Disney #2, and Mexico #3. Further, this resort has
become a premier 5 star resort. We have traded, and traded, and traded.
Many times we even got two for 1 with II and with II you get 2 years to
book an exchange. We used it a lot for trading to go to continuing
education seminars in other places. Points have become easier to trade,
and PRV has points. This resort has expanded to 4 buildings with 8
floors. Has 3 restaurants. Amphitheater. Tennis courts. Golf access. Much
expanded marina. 5 miles from Puerta Vallarta by bus and, airport to
resort share low cost. It is beautiful, safe, exquisite. VERY LOW
maintenance fee. A real bargain price!
Since Covid-19, extra fees are being attached by many resorts in Puerto
Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta. These properties are charging $300 - $600 -
$900 depending number of bedrooms fee attached before check-in. This is
in addition what's been paid for exchange with I&I or RCI. This "includes
many things," which all becomes a scam.
Unlike some other resorts, Paradise Village does NOT charge fees in
addition to trade fees, unless perhaps, a wifi fee which is very minimal.
Paradise Village is so beautiful with no extra fees, which makes it a
very reasonable place to own and trade and/or go.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
