Per the owner:
Not only did we enjoy staying at the Sheepscot Harbor Resort, but we took
full advantage of it's ideal location on the mid-coast of Maine. We could
tie up our motor boat on the resort docks for a few days and take daily
cruises down the Sheepscot River to Boothbay, the Coastal Maine Botanical
Gardens, Five Islands, Linekin Bay and many other fun spots easily
accessible by our 20ft Four Winns. By land - Freeport and LL Beans is
only 45 minutes away, Camden, Rockport, and Rockland are 40 minutes away,
and Boston is about 3 hours drive from the resort.

More information on our formula...
Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
Timeshare total cost includes an increase in maintenance dues each year of 3%, as well as an estimated $1,000 in closing and transfer costs. These are estimated and will vary by state, county and resort.
Total savings does not take into consideration the added benefit of a timeshare unit having a spacious living room, washer and dryer, dining room and full kitchen, all of which add value and potential savings when you have the option to do your own laundry and enjoy a home cooked meal instead of dining out.
