Per the owner: The most important reasons we bought were:
1) It made planning our annual trip very easy. All we had to do was book a flight/car and with 2 small kiddos it was low stress
2) The pools and especially the Pirate Pool makes it very family friendly
3) Having 2 units made it easy to bring family and friends with us, I just had them cover the annual dues cost
4) Close to all the best restaurants and shopping, especially hopping on the shuttle. And now my kids are old enough to go by themselves
5) and of course on the best beach! Our beach is always ranked in top 5 of the world

Hotels usually sleep 2 adults per room, whereas the average timeshare units offer multiple private bedrooms, sleeper sofas and sometimes even bunk beds - adding value not calculated here. Timeshare properties are condo style units that contain all of the comforts of home... and then some!
Hotel total cost includes a 10% hotel tax whereas the average U.S. hotel tax is currently around 13.4%.
